Boko Haram: Two soldiers wounded as troops, terrorists clash in Borno

Two troopers have been injured in a conflict with associated individuals with the Boko Haram group in a den, along Yachida, Korongelen, Bombula and Forfor hub, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

An announcement by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, Thursday, said Troops of 117 Battalion, 28 Task Force Brigade, Operation LAFIYA DOLE related to a few individuals from Civilian Joint Task Force, set out on battling watch and interacted with the fear based oppressors and drew in them in weapon duel at Forfor town.

He stated, “Amid the experience, one of the Boko Haram fear based oppressors was killed, captured two, while a few different psychological militants fled with gunfire wounds.

“The courageous watch group recouped one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, 21 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammo, a 36 Hand Grenade, magazine pocket and a Motorcycle.

“Sadly, two troopers continued wounds and have since been cleared to 28 Task Force Brigade Field Ambulance for restorative consideration.”
